2-4 year olds
Yoga comes to life in these fun and creative classes designed to stimulate young children’s innate curiosity and zest for learning.
Playful yoga poses, animated breathing exercises and imaginative relaxation techniques teach 2, 3 and 4-year olds about their growing bodies and increasingly complex emotions.
Sprinkled with age-appropriate music, crafts, books, and props, classes will spark children’s interest in yoga while enhancing language development, motor coordination and play skills – all while having a blast! Classes are an equal balance between active & passive poses.
Recommended class size: 5-8
5-7 year olds
Themed classes are designed around classic yoga poses and breathing techniques and include a mix of cooperative games, activities, storytelling, music, and art to engage the natural energy and enthusiasm of 5, 6 and 7-year old children.
Classes explore classic yoga poses, breathing exercises, visual & guided imagery, and relaxation techniques while absorbing lessons in self-expression, body image, social skills, positive thinking, and environmental, and community awareness.
Recommended class size: 8-10
8-10 year olds
Kindling the maturing independence of 8, 9 and 10-year olds, these classes encourage a deeper sense of body awareness, self-exploration and interpersonal skills.
Classes include owing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises, and creative relaxation techniques help tweens appreciate what makes them (and others) unique and special. Partner poses and cooperative yoga games inspire positive peer interactions, and community awareness and responsibility.
Recommended class size: 10-12
11-13 year olds
Classes for tween/preteens ex their expanding minds and muscles through independent and group activities that stimulate preteens physical strength, emotional awareness, and self-confidence.
Classes integrate traditional yoga poses and flowing sequences, breathing exercises, deep-relaxation, meditation techniques, and self-reflection exercises. Students will begin to gain a deeper understanding of the philosophical and physical aspects of yoga and how to apply the principles to their everyday lives off the mat.
Recommended Class Size: 10-12
14-17 year olds
Teen classes provide a safe, noncompetitive space to explore more complex poses, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques, while building strength and increasing flexibility.
Classes for this age group take a deeper diver into philosophical themes and are designed to aid concentration, reduce stress, and help participants connect with themselves and others in loving and accepting ways.
Recommended class size: 12-15
Family/Special Person Yoga
Generations come together in a lighthearted environment for yoga, mindfulness, and fun! Age and developmentally appropriate poses, animated breathing exercises and soothing relaxation techniques to awaken and excite the inner-child of all participants.
This bonding class isn’t just for moms and dads – it’s open to extended family members, older siblings, caregivers, and other special adults too!
Recommended class size: varies by age(s)
Reiki is available as an add-on to any of the above classes for younger kids, or as primary, standalone sessions for older tweens and teens. Contact me for more information and to customize classes and packages.
